株式会社佐々木設計事務所は、佐々木龍一が主宰する建築設計事務所です。
近年、国際的に高く評価されている建築設計事務所のひとつです。
佐々木龍一は、シカゴのイリノイ工科大学でロナルド・クレック、ジョン・ローナン、ニューヨークのコロンビア大学大学院でハニ・ラシッド、リズ・アン・クーチャーに師事しました。株式会社久米設計では、８年間の実務経験を積み、その中で日本建築学会賞（作品）「北上市文化交流センター さくらホール」の建築担当を経ています。
現在は、それらの経験を活かして文化施設、音楽ホールから集合住宅、ホテル、店舗、テナントビルなどの商業施設まで、多くのビルディングタイプの設計およびコンサルティングを行っています。私たちは、プロジェクトを実践するにあたり、常に時代性を意識し、プロジェクトの位置付けを再解釈し続けて発展させるようにしています。
これにより、本年(2021年)は、イギリスDezeenの アーキテクト・オブ・ザ・イヤーのベスト21（ロングリスト）に選出や、世界最大の建築フェスティバルであるWAF賞のファイナリスト作品に４作品が選出（４作品の選出は、世界第５位）され、イタリア・プラン賞ではオフィス・ビジネス施設カテゴリー１等のWINNER受賞、アメリカのアーキテクチャー・マスター・プライズ賞では、BEST OF BEST賞、WINNER賞の受賞というものを同時に評価を受けた唯一の日本の建築設計事務所です。
APPROACH
Ryuichi Sasaki Architecture, Inc. is an architectural design firm led by Ryuichi Sasaki.
It is one of the most internationally acclaimed architectural design firms in recent years.
Ryuichi Sasaki studied under Ronald Krueck and John Ronan at the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, and under Hani Rashid and Lise Anne Couture at Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation in New York. At Kume Sekkei Inc., he gained eight years of practical experience, during which time he worked on the architects team of Kitakami Arts Center Sakura Hall, which won the Architectural Institute of Japan Prize (work).
Currently, we are using these experiences to design and consult on many building types, from cultural facilities and music halls to commercial facilities such as apartment complexes, hotels, stores, bar, and tenant buildings. In implementing our projects, we are always conscious of the zeitgeist, and continually reinterpret and develop the positioning of our architecture projects.
As a result, this year (2021) we have been selected as one of the 21 best (longlisted) architecture studio of the year by Dezeen (UK), four finalists in the WAF Awards, the world's biggest architecture festival (four selections are the fifth best in the world), and the Italian, the Plan Awards we have won the Winner in the office and business category, and the Best of Best and Winner at the Architecture Master Prize Awards in the United States. It is the only Japanese architectural design firm that has accomplished these tasks.
